Dialogue sur deux systèmes de sociologie
Résumé
The dialog form is a powerful way of enquiring into subtle and delicate matters where no stable position is possible. This is the case when the author is asked to explore the disagreeements between GSPM (the Boltanski Thévenot centre in Paris) and the CSI, to which he pertains. Since the relations are friendly, the intellectual contrast is rarely higlighted. Through the fiction of two doctorate students, one in GSPM who aspires to be at CSI and one at CSI who long to use GSPM's methods, the oppositions between a moral and political sociology and sociology of translation are deployed. The great advantage of the dialog is that the dialog is allowed not to conclude. This is also the occasion to pursue, as in (94) and (90) new literary forms.
